Services for school partners

Samiad works closely with boarding school partners to provide a range of services focused on the care and welfare of their international students.  As an international summer school and guardianship company we have a wealth of experience in the international education sector and are specialists in providing overnight welfare for children and teenagers in a school setting.

Half term and exeat programmes

Since covid parents’ and agents views on exeats, half terms and host families have meant they are now looking more to schools to stay open during these holiday periods.  We work closely with schools to provide a bespoke programme (activities, excursions, study time) for their pupils over exeat and half term, providing content and staffing to deliver the programme giving boarding staff a well-earned break.   Students can benefit from staying in school, often in their own rooms, remain with friends in a familiar environment and have the consistency of following the school boarding rules. Our programmes can often cost less than an average host family cost, as well as getting a consistency of care, you can also maintain a level of oversight. We currently works with 8 boarding schools across the UK to provide these services

International student inductions

Starting at a new school is a daunting proposition, but doing so in a new country can be a very stressful time for young students.  We work with a number of schools to staff multi-day international induction programmes.  These programmes give students time to settle and flourish before the remaining boarders return.  Our staff will work with you to implement a thorough induction programme to ensure that all students have what they need to begin the new school year whilst ensuring that the students have a friendly face to talk to and activities to join in with.

Arrival and departure services

As part of our school services we offer assistance with arrival and departure days.  These services can include:

• Planning and booking assistance
• Providing a staff member to manage arrivals and departures from school.  This person will work with your team to organise taxis, guardians and students to ensure everyone departs on time or if arriving they can assist with checking in.  They are also available for out of hours arrivals and departures.
• Providing a member of staff at the airport to assist arriving and departing students with checking in or finding their driver.
• All staff are experienced, trained in safeguarding and hold an enhanced DBS
