LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME AT SAMIAD
SAMIAD SUMMER SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN AGED 11 – 17
Inspiring the leaders of tomorrow
The Samiad Leadership Summer School is designed for young people who are ready to grow, speak up, and step confidently into leadership. At the heart is our Teen Leadership Programme, delivered across two themed weeks. Students step into high-pressure survival worlds where leadership matters: founding a colony on Mars and rebuilding society during a Zombie Apocalypse. These live, story-driven scenarios transform leadership from a theory into something students experience, practise and reflect on every day.
Hosted at prestigious UK boarding schools, this youth leadership summer school brings together students from over 80 nationalities in a warm, supportive residential environment. Here, every child is encouraged to share ideas, take responsibility, collaborate with others and discover the leader already within them.
ABOUT OUR LEADERSHIP SUMMER SCHOOL COURSE
This programme helps students develop into confident, thoughtful leaders by learning through themed, hands-on experiences. Across the programme, students focus on communication, negotiation, creativity, initiative and problem-solving in a fun and immersive environment. Leadership roles rotate regularly, allowing every student to lead, support others and contribute in different ways. Guided reflection sessions help students recognise their strengths, learn from challenges and build resilience.
Workshops are engaging and interactive, led by experienced staff who encourage every student to step forward and try something new. Alongside leadership development, students enjoy cultural excursions, evening activities and shared experiences that foster global friendships and independence.
In true Samiad style, this summer camp leadership training balances structured learning with fun, creativity and care, allowing students to grow in confidence while feeling fully supported.
OUR TEACHERS
Samiad had a selective recruitment process, hiring only the best leadership instructors.
Our experienced team works with students aged 11–16, delivering engaging, practical sessions that build confidence, communication and problem-solving skills. Lessons focus on teamwork, decision-making and real-world leadership scenarios designed to challenge and inspire young people.
With instructors who understand how to motivate teens and bring out their strengths, Samiad provides a dynamic environment where students can develop essential life skills, grow in independence and prepare for future academic and personal success.
THE MISSION FRAMEWORK
Across two weeks, students rotate through business-style leadership challenges:
- Economics – budgeting supplies, resource allocation, and trade.
- Politics – negotiating alliances and voting on collective decisions.
- Marketing – persuading other colonies to support their strategies.
- Crisis Management – adapting to sudden mission twists under pressure.
SNAPSHOT LESSON: SAFE ZONE STRATEGY BRIEFING
THE STORY
With resources dwindling, colonies must identify a safe zone, allocate budgets, and persuade others to follow their plan. Success depends on effective leadership and strong communication.
THE ACTIVITY
- Teams analyse maps, mission updates, and limited supplies.
- Leaders assign roles: strategist, negotiator, communicator, economist.
- Groups draft survival budgets and create campaign posters or speeches to promote their plan.
- Each team presents a briefing to the Mission Council, then debates with rival colonies.
WHAT STUDENTS ARE REALLY LEARNING
- Critical Thinking & Strategy – plan for short- and long-term success
- Economics & Resource Planning – budget, trade, and manage resources
- Politics & Negotiation – form alliances, debate, and vote
- Marketing & Communication – create persuasive campaigns and pitches
- Public Speaking – present confidently to peers and staff
- Resilience & Adaptability – adjust when challenges change
THE END GOAL
By the end of the mission, students will have delivered strategies, negotiated deals, created campaigns, and presented in English – all within a framework that
introduces the essentials of business leadership. Parents see their children gaining transferable business and life skills. Students see themselves as decision-makers, influencers, and leaders.
